Robert Palmer, bassist John Taylor, guitarist Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, and former Chic drummer Tony Thompson formed a super group in 1985 to get Duran Duran's synth pop out of the Taylor's heads. I think they succeeded.
This song was originally done by T. Rex back in 1971.
Their only live show was on Saturday Night Live. Palmer decided to do a solo album, more on that next week, and did not want to tour at that time. Michael Des Barres replaced him on the tour but the new lineup broke up later in the year as the members moved on to other projects.
Basically a one album wonder that hit #6 on the US charts.
