Gallery - Where will NASA send its astronauts next?

New Scientist has done a summary with images of future paths for NASA manned space flight with the upside and downside of each option. The pie in the sky option includes a manned mission to orbit Mars, much like the Apollo 8 and 10 missions to the moon and could be done for the same reasons. Its also the most dangerous option for the astronauts.
