I read the Niven/Cooper novel and it was OK, but I assume from the foreword Cooper is the one having written it.

Still, I think like this. There are more authors and books out there than we can ever hope to read. Many of them undoubtedly are very good. So I don't really need to read HomeSec-Pournelle, not because his works would be non-enjoyable but because there are tons of other authors who don't hang out with SIGMA I can give money to instead.
