LJ laid off a chunk of their US staff so everyone is scrambling to back up their blogs etc.

One though on this I had is maybe they are consolidating there tech support in Russia where the bulk of LJ's are.

Non-Russian LJ's are small in number compared to the Cyrillic ones.

Thoughts anyone?

I always wondered why so many LJs are Russian. I guess teenage American girls are fickle in their choice of sites to record what Josh did/said/wore at the mall yesterday.

backing up is always a good idea, but I think that using cheaper russian tech staff is better than overpriced american tech staff.
