Amazing Race

The Amazing Race is one of my favourite shows but as a Canadian I cannot apply.
Basically 11 teams of two race around the world, literally, and each leg they have to perform physical tasks related to the country they are in. The last team on that leg is eliminated or loses all their cash. The cash is supplied by the show and is not much. The exception is plane tickets which are always tourist or cheaper and paid for by credit card.

However I often speculate which of friends would make the best Amazing Race Dream Team.

Who would you have as a partner if you were on the Amazing Race?

Or who of your friends do you see on a dream team?

I think that [livejournal.com profile] minnehaha B and K would be the best dream team I could think of.

If I was doing it, I would partner with my brother.

I'd second that. I'd put my money on them for anything to do with traveling.

But, never having seen the show, I have no idea what all this race entails...

I love that show! It is really the only reality show I watch religiously too.

As for a teammate? I'd probably say my daughter. If not her then either an old army buddy or Dave. :)

I love this show, as well - it's pretty much the only reality show I watch, these days. Well, except for an occasional episode of Extreme Makeover:Home Edition.

If I were to do it, I think I'd want to do it with my kid sister, K. She's got a nice, logical mind, is in great shape, and can follow maps, and I know that I could manage to get through the race without us being ready to kill each other. We've similar personal styles - generally laid back, but competitive as all get out - so we should mesh pretty well in something like this.

A dream team among my friends? That's a whole different question. And, unfortunately, I have no idea. *g*

I'd vote for [livejournal.com profile] minnehaha B, [livejournal.com profile] erikvolson, and [livejournal.com profile] tammylc.

Nevermind that anyone of them has more frquent flyer miles than I have traveled total in the past 10 years.

I don't know much about the Amazing Race, but I'm sure your Canadian citizenship could easily be traded right about now, with all the people trying to get up north. :)

If you're going to pass for American you need to spell it "favorite" just for starters. Oh, that gives me a great idea for a reality show for you to be on! Canadian Makeover!
