Happy Groundhog Day!

Wiarton Willie did NOT see his shadow so its an early spring for those of us in Ontario, Canada.

Unfortunately I will not be screening the movie today too busy.

I try to watch it to cheer me up as today is the anniversary of my grandfather's death.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, but it looks like he had a long life. :) He lived through an interesting period. I envy the people who lived through all the major developments of the 20th century.

He was a real font of knowledge esp about Sarnia and Bayonne NJ where he was a boy.

Maybe you can answer this question for me. Why is it, if the groundhog sees his shadow winter will be longer? It doesn't make sense, because to see his shadow means the sun is shining.. and if there's no shadow, it's cloudy gloomy weather, right? I don't understand!

It doesn't matter either way. It's still 6 weeks of winter.

Yes but winter can be cool or FRIGID.

This means just cool.

Up here Cloudy means warmer than a clear sky.

More warm air and moisture.
