I only own an HDTV because I won one on a game show. I don't have HDTV service and have never actually used that aspect of the thing.

Does what my kids or my husband own count? The kids have MP3 players; S has a bunch of thumb drives, memory sticks, anything you can store data on. And we have the complete line of Nintendo game players, up through GameCube and GameBoy, and the kids are anticipating the new Nintendo game platform (the Wii, or whatever it winds up being called).

We do use the landline, but it only HAS to be here so that the TiVO can phone home. I suspect that we only have the record player because we don't throw things out often enough. We haven't actually used it in years. Likewise, the cassette player is legacy equipment; it's in the car, and its main job is to provide access to the speakers for various other electronic equipment.

They are, but I would have checked that anyway since we have two others.

Since I have a Treo, I don't have a separate phone or PDA. It's replaced them. It isn't replacing the Nikon D70, though.

I don't own any of the items in the "own" section. Con_girl owns the first three items, though, so I guess that that counts.

We have and all of the items in the "do not own" section. We still regularly use all excepting the vinyl record player (we got out of the habit while it was minus a drive belt) and the B&W television set (we had and used a 13" B&W until about two years ago when we replaced it with a 14" colour model - the B&W is in the basement).

Oh, good. It's bad enough that I'm living in the dark ages with my non-plasma, non-HD 24" TV; I'd hate to think there were new toys out that I wasn't even aware of. :)

Digital cameras are totally worth it. After you buy the camera, rechargable batteries, and battery charger, all your pictures are completely free, unless you choose to print them. And you can print just the good ones, not to mention being able to fix up some of the bad ones.

There's hacks for that...

One of the reasons I upgraded my Replay to one with an ethernet port, the upgrade has cost *much* less than paying for a land-line for multiple years.
