Howard DeVore died yesterday, December 31, 2005. "Howard left a big hole in Michigan fandom, he was around for almost everything since the 1940's. He gave our gatherings a sense of History since the next youngest fans did not enter fandom until the 1970's."
Feb. - Jeffrey Allan Beeler's Birthday Party Just a reminder so I can get an idea as to who is planning to come.
"For the record none of you showed up. About par for the course. Its unusual if any out of towners show up let alone LJ's. One year though two Marines in Iraq gave their regrets."

The music I turned 18 to:
I was not listening to alot of music in 1978. Most of the songs I like I heard later while I was at university. In 1977 I spent the summer up north as a Junior Forest Ranger and I listened to alot of different music there, like Krafftwerk and Foreigner and in 1979 I started University in Toronto where I was influenced by the pub's DJ's, live acts and the New Music show on CITY TV.
