Although I think there is a difference between Ontario and Minnesota, what do the rest of you think?

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: North Central

"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

Between Manitoba and Minnesota, there's a lot of difference in how the various sounds written with the letter O are pronounced. I can say them, but not write them.

There is a noticable difference between Toronto and Thunder Bay, for heaven's sake. That's Ontario and Ontario.

It depends on your ear, but there are subtle differences between Windsor and Detroit.

This selection is working on much broader differences than that.

The folks in Fargo definitely had an accent to my ears, I would not lump Ontario in with them.

There's a big difference between Niagara Falls, ON and Niagara Falls NY. It's a meme and not all that accuarate. Still, there is less difference between them than Massachussets.

I do want to point out on that meme that they are gathering info because it asks for sex and age. I didn't enter either and still got an answer.
