Happy NEW YEAR!
Well its been an intereating 12 months.
I think the biggest difference is that I woke up today in Canada not the United States for the first time in over a decade.
Since 1990 I had been going to New Years Eve parties in the United States but this year I could not summon the enthusiasm to go.
This was partly because I stayed up to 2 AM the night before having a kick ass experience at the Trews Concert I mentioned earlier. I chatted with a few people and then spent the rest of the concert dancing by myself in the pit. Although in the pit one is never really totally by oneself and several people did dance along with me for awhile. All in all a fun experience. It just made me wish I had not been by far the oldest person in the pit but as they say "Dance like no one is watching!"
I spent most of New Years' Eve Day and Night hanging out with a few friends watching movies: On their knees, Tully, two interesting small budget independent films, and School of Rock which rocked more than I expected, and playing a game of Settlers of Catan.
New Years Eve midnight was spent at the Industry which is the Sarnia equivalent of rushing to Times Square. I just wanted to be around people when it helped and having a beer did not hurt.
Well here's to 2005 and what it might bring!
Future events to look forward to Huygens landing on Titan and the Space Shuttle program restarting.
