Terrorism as a Tax

Good post by Bruce and something I see in action every time I see a long line of trucks waiting to cross the Bluewater Bridge into the United States. In Sarnia the war on terror has already cost the lives of several truckers and drivers and injured more when they ran into an unexpected traffic jam.
In the Windsor area the added crossing time cannot be doing the Big Three any good given that they have plants interoperating on both sides of the border. Maybe one reason the Michigan economy has been in recession longer than the rest of the US?
