How did I celebrate?

I am hosting a viewing of the NOVA documentary “To the Moon” at my library Monday night:

Monday, July 21, 2008
Time: 6:45pm - 8:55pm
Location: Sarnia Library Theatre
Street: 124 Christina Street South
City/Town: Sarnia, ON

Sarnia, ON – To commemorate the 39th anniversary of humanity first making contact with another celestial body, the Moon, the Sarnia Library will show the documentary “To the Moon” on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the Library Theatre. Admission is free.

“To the Moon” covers the history of the manned space program from the early years of the Mercury program to Eugene Cernan’s last foot on the moon. It explains just how hard it is to send people to the moon and how NASA accomplished this on July 20, 1969. The primary focus is the Apollo 8’s first manned mission to the moon and Apollo 11’s first manned landing on the moon. It features interviews with astronauts such as Jim Lovell, Tom Stafford, Eugene Cernan, Buzz Aldrin, David Scott, and Wally Schirra.
