"Mama let em play!"
I remember going out to play by myself when I was younger than 4. Kids today are so structured it makes you wonder how they will function as adults. Its no wonder they don't vote.
This "LA Times" column, found via boing_boing, talk about how kids' lives are so structured and parents are so afraid of strangers, that kids never just go outside an play anymore or walk to school, although that may be a function of having a school not in walking distance.
