Clave is one of two major gatherings of Dorsai and has had them involved in running it since its beginning; hence you see a lot of them around. I think of Clave as black golf shirt con because of the Dorsai and the GT folk who wear them all weekend, hence I wear my black golf shirts too and blend in.

The consuite was being run by a rookie who severely lacked help, especially experienced help. I noticed at times there was lots of food and other times not so much. I restocked his Diet Coke for him and did an ice run as well at one point. The consuite was a fun place to hang out Friday with Sharon and Debby who had not been there in awhile and other more usual attendees like Liz and Sandy and Rob.

I mainly go to Clave to see friends and its more important to me since the Stilyagi Party Scene died off. Kellee newly single showed up and was a big surprise for me. She mentioned her sister Carrie has done a couple of national commercials which I now recognize. You can see them at her website: http://www.carriekeranen.com I also like the nearby restaurants like Beirut and Bangkok 96 although I have to remember the latter is very mild for a Thai restaurant.
The GT room featured a portable bar with pretty much all you would need for a bar that was designed by Erik and Kevin.

The programming was good this year but I don't think they need to do so many 90 minute panels. One good 90 minute panel was Brother Guy, Bill Higgins and Travis Taylor explaining the Moon impact mission that happened on Friday.

Clave should also move one of Space Time Theatre, the Masquerade or the dance to Friday.

I like to have a break in programming on Saturday for dinner.

The DJ's choices after midnight also totally sucked.

I went on a hobby shop scavenger hunt I had been planning for years and found two but one of them Imperial Hobbies, is closing the week after Clave. It was a sister of a store I used in Warren called Old Guard and both are descended from the legendary Squadron Shop chain of the 1970's, Imperial Hobbies even had two of the old signs for sale.
