They sleep in hyperbaric chambers to help heal all the physical damage.

They seem to retain caretaker personalities called "Echo" in Echo's case that will continue from week to week. In Echo's case it seems the personality is too active taking care of other people too.

The overlays they may get from imprints taken from famous people in a field, they did in the case of the hostage negotiator anyway. The imprint comes cheaper than the original.

Also clients buy privacy and discretion, once the encounter is over the other person forgets.

Someone else said and I agree hiding the true nature of the actives would be better, that they should present themselves as a unique temp agency as now they have an FBI agent investigating them.

I'm wondering if the maintenance personalities are going to eventually show that you cannot wipe someone into a blank state absolutely. That some traits are absolute. I'm really excited for this series!

I agree, I think the caretaker personalities are the ones that will cause the most trouble.

I agree, the way this company operates is down right dastardly and is just ripe to attract a lot of curiousity. The "specialize" temp agency would hold up much better.

Joss has a weakness for shadowy agencies but never thinks them through enough.

I was really disappointed with this, and didn't last the whole show. I had been looking forward to it so much.

Fox exec tampering?

What was with the half-hour of fragmented front-loading and exposition before anything happened? Writing 101 would suggest (and be correct, imo, in this instance) that you start with the negotiator story and then gradually reveal backstory.

I'd like Whedon to have another hit, but I suspect this one will die.

Good point and the opposite of what happened with Firefly where they forced him to jump right into the action.
