I know what you mean. We were *so* busy at the book store today, I barely got a chance to stick my nose out the door. Noticed, though, that R. Scott Bakker's book is in paperback now. Must put it on my reading list.

My feeling lately is that somehow, even when I know where the party is and who is going to be there, I find I'd rather just stay home and read a book or watch TV or surf the Internet. There are a lot of odd suspicions about why that might be....

A lot of people might say "it's too nice to work", but the way you're phrasing it allows negativity to creep into your language, and from there into your mindset.
Your whole life is a pickup line. A person's vibe is something they contribute to all the time, and it's something that other people pick up on subconsciously.
