I didn't stop to read the Glib n' Stale article, but I do recall that at least nine of the NDP MPs at the time voted against the original bill that established the long-gun registry, years ago, breaking ranks with most of the other members. This was because they were from rural Prairie province ridings, whose constituents had told them in no uncertain terms how concerned they were over the registry. I thought at the time this was quite respectable of these MPs, to do as their constituents wished and defy the Whip.
