I am just listing the ones I've read and why since I can't abbreviate yet:

For School:
1984, George Orwell
Animal Farm, George Orwell
Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte
Lord Of The Flies, William Golding
Of Mice And Men, John Steinbeck

A pretty gloomy bunch of books where is the John Wyndham?

As a Kid:
Black Beauty, Anna Sewell
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl
Treasure Island, Robert Louis Stevenson
Winnie-the-Pooh, AA Milne

For the Book Club I run and for which I select the books:

The Catcher In The Rye, Salinger
A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens
A Prayer For Owen Meany, John Irving

So these are fun picks I worked into my work

For Me for Fun:
The Colour Of Magic, Terry Pratchett
Dune, Frank Herbert
Good Omens, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Douglas Adams
The Hobbit, JRR Tolkien

Given its a BBC list its biased towards British Kids Classics.

I read more American Books like the Scholastic series and stuff like Goneaway Lake and Jules Verne and Johann Swift.
