I was way ahead of my time with my name. It doesn't even rate a mention in the decade in which I was born. It's suddenly become popular though, I suspect because of Gillian Anderson. In fact, my son just came home to tell me that there is a new girl in his grade five class called Gillian. He said it with a what is the world coming to look on his face.
