The Chief's kid is also a hybrid, but these hybrids might be more common than we think, Tighe has been around 40 years plus so they may be descended from the Five rather than being clones.

The miniseries will be the story of the Pegasus from dry dock to meeting Galactica, a very dark but action filled story starring Michelle Forbes and The Beast.

I've heard some people speculating "ship of light".

I checked the tape, there is nothing there to indicate a ship of light, just Starbuck hasseling Apollo.

In "Maelstrom", just before Starbuck's ship explodes, there's a bright light effect on her helmet. Also, one of the features of interactions with the original ship of light was that the original Starbuck's and Apollo's uniforms would turn white. The effect of the "mint condition Viper" feels a bit reminiscent of that.

And besides... special destiny!

We're assuming those four are Cylons, and this isn't some mind-frack/trick/red herring. I'm inclined to think this is the case, but we do not know for certain. Tigh's age does present a small problem.

I suspect we're looking at an extraordinary final season or a shark jump.

Why does Tigh's age present a problem? He's pretty active, still has most all his marbles, etc.

I'm thinking ship of light, Starbuck's crash was an optical illusion, and Starbuck and Apollo are the joker and the thief and will have some special destiny. Or else stealing Baltar from the executioner was Apollo's special destiny, and now he's a has-been, that nobody will trust or like and he will slide downhill into obscurity and be hated.

I think they were playing it when he was having his opera house moment with Six. Of course by then it was stuck in my head ;) .....being one of my favorite songs.

Yes. To explain where Starbuck has been and why she looks so great for somebody who crashed and burned. I think they will say she was on the ship of light, getting all holy and stuff so she can be a prophet.

He heard it while he was wandering the corridors of Galactica with all his worldly goods, too, while the other 4 were meeting in that room.

Not that Starbuck would be the extremely holy type, I still expect her to be a royal idiot on most occasions.

I was thinking in terms of "Cylon evolution." That is, we've been led to believe that the skin jobs are comparatively new. Tigh has a lengthy history. However, other options exist.

I think that they may have been new to the Colonials but new in general.

They are Cylons, the producers said so in an interview, but not Cylons exactly the same as the one's we know.

He also left it open that they are actually hybrids descended from the five Cylons who secretly defected to the humans.

He also hinted that Starbuck's mom was a Cylon.
