A Post on My Birthday
I have not done a post in awhile what to say.
Well I just had a birthday my 44th. Which means I am now in mid forties. I am still single looks like this may be permanent. Also looks like I will a reference librarian at the Sarnia Branch of the Lambton County Library for the rest of my working life which will probably last until I am 65 unless I need to retire earlier to spend my RRSP's as it looks like I will not have enough of them to retire on.
I hosted a birthday party which went well. R risked life and limb to come and bring me a unique present. My oldest friend D was there as well as five others. Oddly enough there was an even sexes split even though there was only one couple. My friend L said later it was gutsy of me to invite 3 former girlfriends to the same party. I being my usually oblivious self had not considered all of them girlfriends and all are pretty much in the friends category either from my point of view, theirs or both.
The next day I got together with some family, my mom, aunt and two nieces. It was interesting to spend some time with the nieces as they try to act grown uo but are still very young. (11 and 9)
On Monday my book club met which was cool since one of the ladies brought my favourite birthday cake as a surprise.
On my actual birthday I met L in a bar to play trivia versus people across Canada and the United States. I had a good opening round placing 17th in North America and breaking a bar record that had stood since September. The less said about the big round the better. The questions did not go my way especially the last one in which you had to identify the names of characters in plays and the answer was Ben Johnson.
The next event of birthday month will be a party at Ad Astra in Toronto.
