It was 40 years ago today!

The world came to Canada for our hundredth birthday party.
It was a heady time and to Canadians the future was bright, Montreal was our biggest city and this was the song of the year.
The end of the video shows what happened to that dream time.
I think most of the buildings are gone except the dome and the new island created for the Expo is the site of the Canadian Grand Prix at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
