This will be a soft as opposed to a beach ball landing. I think the last successful soft landing was the Viking probes in the 1970's so cross your fingers.
It will be landing in Mars' north polar region and then conducting a dig. It will not be a rover this time. It will be probing and testing the ice cap for organic traces of life. This will also be something not done since the Viking probes.
