Philcon the oldest science fiction convention is getting old in many ways:

An Article on the aging of science fiction fandom with Philcon the oldest SF con as the example. I had not realized it was around 400 I thought of it being bigger.

Myself I have no problem with a student/20something rate at cons. That generation is usually living on their own and you are fighting for a share of their limited entertainment budget.

Detroit cons are pretty extroverted so I don't have much experience with dealing with intro version. What do other people do to get younger people involved in their favourite activities not necessarily science fiction?
