Henry Ford Museum honors auto racing pioneers | detnews.com | The Detroit News
The Henry Ford Museum has started fundraising for a new auto racing exhibit. As part of this it held a ceremony honoring car racing and parts maker Jack Roush and time and motion in pit stop pioneers the Wood Brothers. While Jack has been very successful Detroit area car parts maker and racer the Wood Brothers changed the way automobiles are raced. The exhibit will probably attract more tourists to the Detroit area. When I was there last year I thought that the museum could do more to show Ford's racing history from the beach racing days to Indy and Formula 1 with Cosworth to Le Mans and NASCAR.
