Remember its an honour just to be nominated and Tor received quite a few.  Which ones have you read?

There were 483 valid nominating ballots.

Best Novel:

The Yiddish Policeman's Union by Michael Chabon (HarperCollins, Fourth Estate)

"All Seated on the Ground" by Connie Willis (Asimov's Dec. 2007; Subterranean Press)

"Memorare" by Gene Wolfe (F&SF April 2007)

Still dominated by Asimov's and F&SF, no stand alones this year.

Best Novelette:

"A Small Room in Koboldtown" by Michael Swanwick (Asimov's April/May 2007; The Dog Said Bow-Wow,Tachyon Publications)

More diverse sources for these 2 categories and it looks like The New Space Opera is worth checking out with 2 nominees.  I have not read many of them so its hard to pick favourites.  None I have read have really stuck in my mind.

I've only read the Chabon book (hangsd head in shame), but have seen Enchanted, Harry Potter and Stardust. Will have seen the Dr Who's soon, but really need to catch up on the reading! We have a few F&SF's and Asimov's around the house, so I need to go look up the stories.

I've got several in the queue. Does that count? (I also hang my head in shame.)

I was very glad to see Connie Willis in the short categories. Now, to track those down.

On the movies, I've seen all the big screen ones. Enchanted was delightfully different, but so was Stardust. Golden Compass may be in a class by itself. I think I vote Stardust for the Greek chorus alone and Gaiman needs another trophy for his cabinet, I'm sure.
