Randy Pausch's "Last Lecture."

Randy was a Carnegie Mellon Professor who gave his "last lecture" about living life to its fullest even though he was dying of cancer at the time. He died this week. Having now listened to his lecture I am sorry I never got to nominate him as ConFusion Science Guest of Honour. His advice rings true for life in general.

Give this lecture a listen, decide if you are Tigger or Eeyore.

Zombie Guest of Honor? (More politically correct: Guest of Honor 'In Memorium'--must have died since the last Con.)

The problem with that is live science guests usually do many solo panels and if the GOH is not at the con we have to find people who can speak on his topic, which with science guests is not always easy.

It would be different with a local fan GOH because people who knew them could talk about them or an author GOH it would be people who read their work and with an artist you could do an exhibit of their work.
