Good things this week

Watched the movie The Dish with Sam Neill about how the Australians gave us pictures of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon. Its a very good movie with a droll sense of humour and no sex or violence.

Ate alot of barbecued beef.

Tried a bison burger for the first time.

Met a new potential friend, more on this later hopefully.

Surprised a friend with early birthday presents.

Tried a new Belgian beer that was good that is on draft right here in town at Ups and Downs.

Love "The Dish," which Janice Gelb pointed out to me a few years ago. Best scene is the cricket in the radio telescope. Best exchange is between the brother and sister when she finds out he's carrying a gun and wonders if their mom knows. Oh, yeah, and the playing of the "National Anthem" at the party. Did I say it was a good movie???

this is ot, but I wanted to say that even though I usually don't respond, I at least read some of your entries :)

also, I'm thinking about hosting a buffy party later this summer, for rabid buffy fans interested in a buffy marathon/drinking game.

would you be up for that?

me too! (I also have season 3). I'm thinking about setting up a voting system to select episodes, and I wouldn't say no to s4-s6 on dvd if anyone has them (but I won't cry without them, I mean let's face it, the ratio of good to bad eps dropped drastically post s3....

There are some good ones like Hush and Once More With Feeling and the one where Mom dies, not the best episode for a party.

I have never seen the episode where Giles and Buffy's mom think they are teens and start making out.

Halloween episodes are usually fun too.
