Wasn't this in a Neal Stepehnson novel?
Its a story about a Chinese man who stabbed his friend who sold the cyber sword they had jointly discovered.
Has anyone seen any other cases of virtual theft?
i had heard people were selling characters online after building them into super heros.

I have a friend who buys powerful Everquest characters, strips them of their items and sells them individually, and then sells the naked characters. He makes a lot of money this way.

Real actual U.S. money that works in the real world and not just fake Everquest gold or whatever they use for money.
Go onto eBay and look for auctions for Everquest money. They're up there, and you can calculate the exchange rate.
