Why do I post the way I do?

Too often I was reading LJ at work or late at night when I am tired and responding on the fly without thinking things through. Also I really suspect I am dyslexic and its getting worse. This causes me to think I have typed words but when I proofread they are not there. I have always had problems expressing myself in written language.

Why do I give advice at all?

Its my job and almost a reflex now. It also makes me pedantic (or specific as I would say as a librarian.) I am mainly trying to add to everyone's body of knowledge and provide encouragement. I ask this question: What sort of response to you look for when you post? I am always looking for some sort of response. Its the keeping in touch aspect of LJ I like most.

Why was I reading LJ at work?

Curiosity mainly and because I was bored with what I was doing. I find to prevent I really have to concentrate on what I need to be doing and always have a stack of work to do for when I am finished.

Now that I have a computer at home again I hope to end the LJ work habit.

interesting question. I think it's interesting to post what's on my mind, and see how people respond to it--like a rorschach. sometimes it surprises me what people delve into and what they scroll past without comment. but that assumes people are really reading every entry every day. hopefully they're not!

so what are YOU looking for in a response?
