Penguicon: Life on Fast Forward

Penguicon was fun but way too short. Probably because I have more social interaction in 48 hours than I do during the whole rest of the month. Too many people to talk to and not enough time. I met various people I have know through blogs for the very first time, the regal Chrissy, the deadly Ninja, the imposing Elizabeth Bear and the versatile Charles Stross. New experiences include eating Brazilian beef, making sushi, making Brazilian beef sushi, and playing Guitar Wars wherein I was solidly thrashed by a youngin. Although to my credit she did own her own copy of the game.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the High Voltage ClubFusion party, Karen, Paul for Jacob our party mascot, Roxanne for bringing stuff, Tammy for maple candy, and various stilyagi for help keeping an eye things, esp. Seth.

Lesson learned: mangonels are very dangerous.
