Getting on the Boys (and Girls) in the Band Wagon

Marriage is love.

Why am I doing this? I am doing this because I believe in equal rights and opportunities.
Our society has become mostly secular in its administration. The local parish no longer rules us except in the area of people wanting to join to create a family or social unit. The term marriage has become in embedded in our civil laws and rules, therefore I feel that marriage should also be a civil not a religious function. I believe that you should still be able to get married in a church if you want but the government must be willing to perform or allow marriage for everyone. I guess this means I am in favour of polygamous marriage too, which I am if people think they can make it work then let them try. In my personal experience I have been to more civil and nontraditional weddings than old fashioned church weddings.

Canada is already there, at least in BC and Ontario.

Yes but not at the federal level.

They are threatening action of some sort but hopefully they will ignore it like they did with abortion.
