Gossip Good or Bad?

Why do I gossip?
I think this is because of the nature of our social circles. Mine consists of separate individuals and groups most of whom I see every few months if I am lucky. Therefore when I do see them its necessary to catch up with any changes. We all do this I realized when I got together last month in Toronto. The first thing we did was talk about our lives including those who were not present some of whom I have not seen in years. SF fans do it too since they can go months or years without seeing people face to face.
