I am up in the air about this:

The original concept only had to be funny for 22 minutes, the movie has to go at least 90.

The cast looks good Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart, Alan Arkin as The Chief, Anne Hathaway as 99 and The Rock as 23 with Terence Stamp as Siegfried of CHAOS and Bill Murray as Agent 13.

I am not too impressed with director Peter Segal's body of work http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0781842/

Writers Tom J. Astle  & Matt Ember have mainly done TV before now too.

Me, too, that is I'm hopeful as I remember the series fondly.

But "last attempt?" I guess I missed that one.

The last attempt was the infamous "The Nude Bomb" with much of the original cast including Don Adams.
