Consider how long it takes to be become an expert in a domain. Now compare that to how long domains stay relevant, and we see a problem that increases as new technologies come and go ever faster. On top of that, how to cope with competing over the internet with the best in the world?

Hope to see some of you there!

You've mentioned this con before and now with your panel description, I had to Google the con. Wow, it was like another language. LOL My computer skills are sadly just only good enough to use a program, not understand anything about how they are made or how the equipment works or anything else that requires actual thought! LOL

It's okay - it's a plenty fine convention even if you're not a geek. Lots of great energy and cool stuff going on.

Its my belief that Toronto fans either save their money for Anime North next month or go the Eeriecon in Niagara Falls, which is the same weekend as Penguicon and has Joe Haldeman this year for a big name guest.

So only the LINUX open source aspect would get them to Penguicon.

Some of them have come down for that in the past.

A few like Gibbs come because of strong local ties.
