Well I saw the surgeon on Thursday and after an exam and a chat we talked it over and I am holding off on surgery for now since it may not change anything in my case.

In other news I have been spending more time with members of the book club.

Tuesday two of us saw Fahrenheit 9/11 an interesting movie with angles I had not seen in the reviews and previews. It is what I have coined "found drama" drama found in archival material and everyday life like found humour only serious. It is defintely not a straight documentary. A one point it talks about United Defense and how it makes the M-2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle (US) and it shows footage but of a Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle (UK.) A nit for me but a sign Moore does not do all his homework.

Finished reading a book on the Falklands Islands War of 1982 that reinforces the rule to check your sources for bias even if they are primary sources. A hero of one of the first books I read on the war turns out to have been a bit of a loose cannon and it puts him in a less good light.

Finally anyone know of any good sources for starting meditation and does anyone want to go dancing?

I just realized its been over a year since I have gone out dancing.

canadian mental health does something called learning to unwind. it's a series where you can learn about various relaxation methods - including meditation. if you're interested, they usually offer it in the fall. 337-5411 is the number to call.

I hear you are looking for new social outlets, so why not try the Sarnia Library book club?

We are going to read 3001 by Arthur Clarke.

Please bring Brad too!

The next meeting is Monday September 13th at 7PM in the library's West Room. Refreshments will be served and tell Brad is not necessary to have read the book. Which is 3001 by Arthur Clarke. We usually go to Ups and Downs after to talk more.
