Black Out 2003

Once again I am glad that in times like this I live in a smaller city who seems to get power back earlier than big ones like Toronto and Detroit.

Although we still have rotating blackouts they will only last for two hours max.

What does it look like from outside the affected area?

From what I read, no consensus on what caused it. Glad I am outside, since it warmed up again today, but still below normal for Austin (only 91 degrees). From the Detroit Free Press website, I got a feeling that there is people with water around there. But the real problem is it's time for the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend (glad I am missing it, the first couple of years it was fun, then it got just too crowded).
