They are renovating the home of Detention the 1959 Worldcon that was in Detroit:

Once reopened they will be abe to handle conventions of up to 200 people, about half the size of the 1959 worldcon.
It will be able to handle any of the worldcons from the 1940's though.

Is this supposed to be a good thing?
I would assume that Detroit has space for larger conventions as well. (Well, they should. I seem to remember that Dearborn is a popular site.)
